Rocket Science watered up at Wilsonton Campus TSHS

Students at Wilsonton Campus TSHS spent the day doing rocket science, exploring basic theory on Centre of Gravity, centre of pressure and their significance, designing fins for stability, fitting nose cones to reduce drag, and mounting parachutes to deploy at 30m. Flight certificates were issued for fly worthy craft and the launch pad had a weather station monitoring wind speed and direction to help designers place the ground target for a landing, and finish the day redesigning their rockets to carry a cargo of water bombs, aiming for the target and landing in tact.
