CAJON drum TEEN workshop at Cobb and Co Museum

TEEN workshop at Cobb and Co museum provided the opportunity for teenagers to construct a CAJON drum originally from PERU. Participants then learnt some rhythms to play on the drum made to take home and spend a lifetime perfecting. Abe demonstrated the potential of the instrument with a mix of body percussion and rhythms that he has found in his around the world travelling. It is his preferred percussion instrument to travel with for gigs. The group finished with a drumming circle that attracted visitors at the museum like a whistling pied piper with beat.

Below are 2 videos of the grooves participants learnt at the workshop to work on.
