Ukulele making workshop with pickup.

Students in year levels 7-10 at Normanton State School in groups of 20 with 3 facilitators spent 8 hours over 4 days to construct 45 Ukuleles with Piezo pickups installed. The students worked in the school man arts room in 4 sessions of 60 -90 minutes to measure, saw, drill, screw, sand, and assemble their ukuleles before wiring up the pickup circuit and tuning their instruments. Then students had some tuition time on some basic 3 chord tunes and finally performed at the concert - brilliant, students can now either take home their instrument or leave them at school for sessions in their Uke Orchestra.
