Mornington Island Students Construct 2 Pizza Ovens

Students on Mornington Island laid out the equipment, mixed the clay, dirt, sand cob and constructed 2 Pizza ovens, and then learnt how to prepare a tasty Pizza on fresh bases.

Students learnt about the shapes of the oven (catenary, Parabola ) and were shown different tests on the cob brick to get the mix right. The right amount of moisture, right amount of clay, and right ratio of sand, dirt, clay, straw and water,
