Jamaths program in Central Qld

Wahoo Business partnered with Jam Australia and QUT University's YUMI Deadly Centre to deliver a music maths program in Central Queensland. Students at Emerald State High School used a whole range of maths principles including measurement, geometry, cartesian planes, fractions and division working from plans and diagrams to construct a handmade electric ukulele.

45 Ukuleles were constructed over 2 days and students developed a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the real life applications of maths and the connections between maths and music.
